The point to be kept in mind is that the cancellation slip of the ticket has to be kept safely till the amount of the ticket gets refunded into your bank accounts. In case the I-ticket has been booked in the Tatkal quota then a total refund of 25% of the ticket amount is returned excluding the Tatkal charges. This is the case if the I-ticket is being cancelled beyond 24 hours of the train departure. No refund is made on the cancellation of a confirmed ticket within 24hours of scheduled departure.
